about

A collaboration between ItsNotDenon and iSAAC K!

The lyrics of the song deal with a rapidly decaying society that will surely bring about its own demise without actives attempts to steer it off its deadly course.

The first verse deals with this in the most apocalyptic way, offering up a worse case scenario for the society, whereby, a biblical like rapture event will occur, with bodies piling high, and nearly all people being idle hands seeking idle daughters, or robbers, either under the guise of building infrastructure or simply robbing you by the roadside.

After the verse suggests that even the systems that survive this event will still be judged (for there is no moral system) the chorus enters the music to offer a solution.

We’re now reborn symbolises a change, a second chance, and a revival of the society that fell, including all of the negative parts. Urged to now fight against the issues they have ignored, they wear them with pride, adorning them as their new outlook in their rebirth to counter them once more, and try again, aiming for something better than before.

In verse 2, it opens with individuals attempting to do just that. They fight, choosing to live as free men rather than slaves, however, this quickly falls apart when the wealthy in the society begin to claim they are either oppressed or otherwise disenfranchised. Instead of helping the people who truly need it, they instead begin to fight for any old cause at all, being so bored that they are willing to collapse even their own wealth, simply to have something worth living for.

In contrast, the song declares that even while poorer than those richest of folk, compared to his ancestors, the narrator is richer than his slave ancestors due to the freedom he now has, as well as the kings of old, due to the abilty to live in luxuries that could not have been imagined.

However, with all that said, only the victors of the unfolding conflict will be able to control the narrative, as they both now claim to be heroes fighting for the right cause.

The chorus then enters again to provide another chance at a better world in the same style as before.

In verse 3, a populist movement occurs. In and of itself, this is neither good nor bad, but there is a constant warning that evil is committed by people, and more so, groups. If this group is persuaded to do evil by anyone above, anyone trying to control the people, they will surely need to be reborn again.

Instead of looking at the people as a group, as bodies, as collective action, or competitive markets, they instead begin to look at themselves as the heirs of the earth. They are the only people that can be responsible for bringing about a better world, not only that, but it is their responsibly to build the world they seek.

They learn that any man (person) in any role can bring us to the promised land. Therefore, the world can be as good or as evil as an individual choses to make it.

Even in this revelation however, the world still fails, and the need to be reborn plays again as the chorus enters.

This is the last chorus however, and so, perhaps this time, with no verse following, the people in the narrative have finally reached their goal of a better land and people, or perhaps, with the repeated chorus, it is instead an endless cycle doomed to repeat, where rebirth is always required after a period of degenerating stagnation.

lyrics

Verse 1:
Sounds of rapture/by the pasture/ sheep for slaughter/ idle hands for idle daughters/ worship idols/ filth and bile/ bodies pile by the dollar/ holla robbers for your roads/ idle hands destroy a rose/ cannot find a heart of gold inside the lies or warring throne/
I got to be it or usurp it/ only option be complicit/ till were done with it/ you can’t discard it/ must surpass it/ seek to harm it/ Do it justice/
Capital systems receive their capital punishment/ judge it like the book/
Chorus:
We’re now reborn/ We’re now reborn/ We’re now reborn/ We’re now reborn/
Fighting what they have ignored/ We now adorn/ what we now adorn/ adorn/ adorn/ we now adorn/ adorn / we now reborn/ were now reborn/ were now reborn/
Verse 2:
Fight resist/ dismiss their claims/ no control/ be free or slave/ a simple choice/ I’m spoiled for/ the spoilt kids declare their poor/ they live as kings/ while begging more/ their hoping for a violent cause/ a way to live like apes they are/ until their floored or dead in yards/
What they yearn/ this generation/ stuck in cycles/ degradation/ can’t compare to their forefathers/ mine were slaves/ I’ve gotten further/ Charlemagne / to him I’m richer/ line of kings / a bigger picture/ only heroes/ men of vigour/ built foundations/ claim the victors/
Verse 3:
We the people/ for the people/ arm the people/ fight the people/ praise the people/ teach the people/ preach the people/ be the people/ love the people/ hate the people/ doesn’t matter/ breathe the people/ they will try control the people/ through the people/ comes all evil/
More than people/ we’re the heirs/ to all the earth/ and all that’s there/ suffering/ the love it is/ we build the world we will inhabit/ inhibitions have their role/ and every role can crush a man/ but every man/ in any role/ can bring us to the promised land/
